The time I realized that I needed to change a lot in my life was when I got tired of doing the same things day by day, not being happy with anything, ranging from what I have, to some of the friends that I keep around. So, honestly one day I woke up and told myself that I am tired of this and must make things better because it is not fair to make myself miserable, when I already feel like I do a lot. Long story short, this turned into an impulsive episode that I previously talked about before, but it was worth it because it got me out of the same boring lifestyle and made me come to my senses in a way. Plus, from today on, even though I put myself through things with little to no thought towards it, it still makes me happy because I actually did it, and I know many people do not get that opportunity. Like going through bootcamp in the middle of Missouri and turning 21 there sucked honestly, it was very depressing, but now I went through and did the hard part, it caused me to just have the benefits for the rest of my life now. However, by doing that and being gone for six months it made me realize a lot, like all I had is myself, I did not know anyone there, and we could not have phones or anything, so it helped me a lot with self-realization. The only way people could get a hold of me would be through writing letters, and that is basically how I could see who really cared and who did not. Moreover, this message is not suggesting that you join the military, or something out of your comfort to put you in a better situation, but if you are not happy with your life, it is best to put some excitement in it or make a change some way, somehow. Do something that will make you realize your worth and see what and who is worth your time and what is not. It is a tough thing to start doing but once it is all said and done you will love yourself more and be thankful that you did so.
